What you can expect from IWO:
- Represent accurately the data in UA operating systems at the time of data capture.
- Operate to consistent business rules on capturing and coding the data to the degree that changing application
systems permit.
- Work with you on standards for coding, naming and classifying data on behalf of the University community.
- Work with you on query development that has wide utility for the campus.
- Set priorities based on our best information and judgement regarding what is optimal for the University.
What you cannot expect from IWO:
- Address lists. This information is governed by FERPA and other privacy rules.
Address list requests are sent to the Registrar and PSOS as appropriate.
- Data modification and ad-hoc queries that benefit only individuals or units.
- Changes to system data even if you perceive it as incorrect. Modifications to data must
be performed by the appropriate system staff before the files are pulled.
- Peer or other external data.
- Turning ad-hoc query results into finished reports for individual or departmental use.
What IWO needs from you:
- Maintain you system data (or data of concern to you) to be up-to-date and accurate.
- Patience. IWO has an ambitious workload.
See http://www.iwo.arizona.edu/reports/index.html for
IWO projects.
- Clear, concise requests and a willingness to share the context for the requests. The "simpler" the request,
the more likely of multiple meanings.
- Reasonable lead times; workloads vary drastically in warehouse operations from day-to-day, week-to-week and month-to-month.
